I hope you are doing well. I am excited to share the latest Union Bulletin with you which is attached to this message.
The bulletin highlights Section 32 of the BC Labour Relations Code that safeguards and freezes employees' work conditions, wages, benefits, incentive pay, and bonuses when the Union applies for a certification application at the BC Labour Relations Board.
Section 32 prohibits any changes in rates of pay or terms and conditions of employment during the certification process.
Section 32 is a crucial component of the Labour Code that empowers employees to initiate collective bargaining with their current work conditions secured. This means that the Union will negotiate on your behalf to improve your work conditions, wages, and benefits above and beyond the current status quo.
