Letter to GFS Employees from President Stan Hennessy

My fellow workers, I cannot stress enough the importance of joining a union. It’s not just about better wages and benefits, although those are certainly important. It’s about having a voice in the decisions that affect your life and livelihood. It’s about standing together as a group to have more bargaining power than you would as individuals. When you’re part of a union, you have legal protection and support that can help eliminate favoritism and ensure that you are treated fairly in the workplace. You have the power to negotiate for better working conditions and job security, protecting you from unfair treatment. Joining a union is about standing up for yourself and your co-workers. It’s about making sure that you get your fair share and that all workers are able to move up in wages. So, I urge you to join the union and take control of your future. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that workers are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Respectfully,

President Stan Hennessy Teamsters, Local Union No. 31
